Rove Won't Be Leaving I do believe in loyalty. Really, I do. I try to be loyal to my friends. Of course, in the world of politics, the reasons may be different than you and I.

Despite being disappointed with Karl Rove’s election performance, President Bush has agreed to keep his chief political advisor for the remainder of his administration.

Administration sources said Mr. Rove has sought to stay with Mr. Bush until the end of his presidency. The sources said despite pressure on the president to reshuffle his staff for 2007, Mr. Bush wants Mr. Rove by his side.

"He knows too much," a source said. "The last thing the president wants is another published memoir and book tour of life inside the White House."

I really can't see Rove writing a book about his buddy, George.

I don't know, this article was just odd to me.

I honestly imagine that both of them have some skeletons in the closet.

Comments:
Too bad about Rove not leaving. Worse still is the idea of a book written by him. Bleh.

I think Rove still did a pretty good job (in his role of administering electoral evil). Things could have been and really probably should have been a lot worse for the Republicans.

Actually, I think Rove is very, very good at his job.
Rove has for six years masterminded most of Bush's success.
But, you can't hit a home run every day.
With so much going on in this past year, I don't think anybody could have handled all of the scandals coming out of Washington.
