CNN Poll On Fox/Limbaugh
Being out of the loop doesn't mean that I haven't wanted to comment on some things. I guess I'm playing catch-up so allow me to be a day late and a dollar short.
Rush Limbaugh is getting heat about his comments about Michael J. Fox, but the thing that people forget is that bad attention is better than no attention for this bozo.
He loves for the Democrats to come after him because it gives him the attention he so adores. I mean, think about it. He's been on the nightly news about his asinine comments. You can't buy that sort of publicity and you and I both know Limbaugh is reveling in it.
Last week, I watched the ads from Michael J. Fox in my drugged haze (legal, I might add.), and my initial thought was one of compassion. Fox is around my age, he announced years ag
o that he had Parkinson's and that it would impact his career and his life. He even left Spin City. He has been an advocate for stem cell research. Fox has appeared before congress and is not acting out of character. Of course, he wants elected officials to be proactive on stem cell research because it could impact his live. I'd do the same thing.
Limbaugh is not acting out of character either. Remember his comments about Donovan McNabb. Remember his own battle with drug addiction. The man wants attention, and he doesn't care what you think about him.
And he will continue.
I was glad to see the poll show that most people, regardless of political affiliation, fall to the side of compassion in the above graphic.
Here is a
website asking for the dismissal of Rush Limbaugh that has a pretty comprehensive list of some of the crap Limbaugh's pulled.
Jeez.
