  CNN Poll On Fox/Limbaugh
From Crooks and Liars
Being out of the loop doesn't mean that I haven't wanted to comment on some things. I guess I'm playing catch-up so allow me to be a day late and a dollar short. Rush Limbaugh is getting heat about his comments about Michael J. Fox, but the thing that people forget is that bad attention is better than no attention for this bozo. He loves for the Democrats to come after him because it gives him the attention he so adores. I mean, think about it. He's been on the nightly news about his asinine comments. You can't buy that sort of publicity and you and I both know Limbaugh is reveling in it. Last week, I watched the ads from Michael J. Fox in my drugged haze (legal, I might add.), and my initial thought was one of compassion. Fox is around my age, he announced years ago that he had Parkinson's and that it would impact his career and his life. He even left Spin City. He has been an advocate for stem cell research. Fox has appeared before congress and is not acting out of character. Of course, he wants elected officials to be proactive on stem cell research because it could impact his live. I'd do the same thing. Limbaugh is not acting out of character either. Remember his comments about Donovan McNabb. Remember his own battle with drug addiction. The man wants attention, and he doesn't care what you think about him. And he will continue. I was glad to see the poll show that most people, regardless of political affiliation, fall to the side of compassion in the above graphic. Here is a website asking for the dismissal of Rush Limbaugh that has a pretty comprehensive list of some of the crap Limbaugh's pulled. Jeez.

"the thing that people forget is that bad attention is better than no attention for this bozo."

You nailed it.

I've not even watched the clip, and I won't. I boycott Limbaugh.

He's nothing more than a playground bully.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I honestly like a good debate from the right and the left, but Limbaugh just goes to far.
And people listen to him and believe every word he says.
Amazing.

I wish I had the stamina/balls/somethingorother that would have stopped me from watching that clip. I wish I hadn't bothered writing about him and the damn clip. Giving this moron any publicity at all is just feeding coals into his steam engine.

I keep thinking that surely after some point of lunacy, a la Pat Robertson or Fallwell, loons like these would be looked on as curiousity items, shelved, catalogued and museum pieces for a time when we slightly crazy.

Rightly said, John.
I grow so weary with these loons.
