We Have Not Forgotten Anything
We haven't forgotten.
We cannot be frightened.
The Oklahoma federal building.
The Twin Towers.
We wish for peace.
We don't have it.
For those who think we have forgotten are wrong. For those of us who are confused about our government's leadership, for those of us who disagree with this war, we are still patriots.
We mourn our fallen. Political affiliation does not matter.
The love of our country's foundations are still strong.
We cannot fear. We cannot be guided by fear.
We grieve for the loses of so many who died that fateful day. We grieve for the loss of those young men and women who have died in the fight against terrorism. We bow our heads in reverence to those who died five years ago. For those who died in Okla
homa.
We wait, but we can not subscribe to our fear.
That is what those who did these heinious acts want.
And we hope for a better tomorrow for our children.
"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself - nameless, unreasoning, unjustified, terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance."
