Gas Prices Go UP From a business and a personal point of view, I have no idea how to handle this. A local oil exec told one of my writers not to be surprised if gas hit upwards of four dollars by the end of the year. I don't see salaries for people going up to combat the new increases.
Nationwide gas prices hit an all-time high in the last two weeks, rising nearly 2 cents to just over $3 per gallon, according to a survey released Sunday.

The national average for self-serve regular stood at $3.0150 a gallon Friday, up 1.98 cents in the last two weeks, according to the Lundberg Survey of 7,000 gas stations across the country.

The price exceed the previous high of $3.0117 set in September last year, analyst Trilby Lundberg said.

A gallon of mid-grade gasoline averaged around $3.12, and premium at nearly $3.22.

I think it goes without saying this is going to be hard.

Let's just hope that folks remember this stuff when they go to the polls in Nov..

Amen to Sandegaye! I have every intention of remembering!

so i have to budget money now to pay for gas to drive to the polls in Nov.??

David Letterman always said getting 'polled' was painful.

Um... with billions and billions in record profits, oil companies whine they can't afford to build refineries?? That's pure BS.

The public horniness for gas guzzlers is obvious as armadas of SUVs spill out of suburbia.

And yes, politicians do nothing to challenge the lies and whines of oil companies.

The major alliance of England and the U.S. have been working ceaselessly to grab control of Arabian oilfields since the end of the 1800s. The value is provided by that same alliance.

Even at $75 or higher per barrel, Iraq's reconstruction costs are still paid by the U.S.

This is a manufactured mess.

Can't blame the oil companies? then who is responsible for providing them with their products? taxpayers?

lies like refusing to admit they met privately with the V.P. in early 2001 to draft the U.S. Energy Policy.

First places the miliatry "secured" in the latest Iraq War was oilfields. follows a history of U.S. actions to create control of oil fie;ds in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and more recently in breakway Soviet Republics. The history of the Baghdad Railway is also instructive in Western interest in controlling Arabian resources.

And yes, it's a murky de-emphasis of history that obfuscates how the mess was made indeed.

Glad you appreciate word choice, Cobra.

And importing so much kinda emphasizes that desire to gain control of production, doesn't it? Even more so since China is trying very hard to buy resources in Canada .
