Chicken Breakdown The Chicken incident is getting more involved.
A volunteer with the Bob Corker campaign was involved in a hit and run incident earlier today. The volunteer, Bryan Shannon, said he was attempting to take pictures of a man dressed as a chicken lurking near the Corker campaign headquarters in Chattanooga when he was stuck by the man in the chicken suit's black Volvo. Shannon said he was bumped by the car as he stood in front of it with his cell phone camera, then hit again and thrown on the car, then hit a third time and thrown against the windshield, shattering it. snip I rarely editorialize, but I think in this case I will. It seems clear from sequence of events that the volunteer acted inappropriately by attempting to play chicken with the chicken. However, the chicken should have never hit the Corker volunteer. Politics should not be a full-contact sport. It is absolutely ridiculous that the level of discourse has turned criminal - with an associate of one of the campaigns for US Senate being involved in a hit-and-run incident.
