Robot Love But is there any guilt involved? Would one feel rejected when the battery pack died?
SAN FRANCISCO - When America's top sex researchers gathered recently to discuss the next decade in their field, some envisioned a future in which artificial sex partners could cater to every fantasy.

"What is very likely to be present before 2016 would be a multi-sensual experience of virtual sex," said Julia Heiman, director of the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction at Indiana University, Bloomington.

"There is a possibility of developing erotic materials for yourself that would allow you to create a partner of certain dimensions and qualities, the partner saying certain things in that interaction, certain things happening in that interaction.

Ever tried just simple webcam sex?

Well, now that's just old fashioned, wintermute.

Cagey answer, Newscoma....

Sure could save a person a lot of money even if the service were $500 bucks a month it would be much less than spent on a lover.

And if you get bored, you can do a little robot-swapping!

[this thread has legs]

Where's my answer, NC-17?

If a sex robot looked like Jude Law as Gigolo Joe in AI, I would totally do him.

I don't own a webcam, although out here in the rural hills of Tennessee, I have seen one before.(hee)
Jude Law as Gigolo Joe is pretty good although I probably would lean toward the guy who plays Sawyer on Lost (have no idea what his name is.)
The key element about the robot love is that none of them can speak when I have mine programmed. They have to be mute, somewhat assertive and then you can turn them off when its over.
No awkwardness, if you know what I mean. An Austin Powers sort of fembot thing for all you campers here, and Gigolo Joe for the girls. No Gatlin(sp) gun tatas though. That could be dangerous.
Depending on what you like, you can have both.
Choices, you know.

What was that line from "Field of Dreams"? "If you build it, .... " No, maybe I won't go there.

Given that TN almost considered a law to ban artificial sex devices and other states already have laws banning them, then when companies do start selling robo-lovers, will they face "mechanical profiling" by law enforcement? Will robo-lover rights groups march to protest and/or endorse robo-rights?

The future is turning into old sci-fi plots once dismissed as silly fictions.

Yes indeedy, Mr. Powell.
I thought about that bill as well. Sorta funny when you think about it.

Oh... Newscoma! I would soooo do a Josh Holloway (Sawyer) look-a-like robot!!! Kind of Stepford Wives and West Worldish stuff... but... OH! A Yul Brynner robot lover!!! Oh! Oh! Oh! A GARY COOPER robot lover!!!

Good lord I'm a freak...

Saw to Kill A Mockingbird on Sunday. I sort of have a thing about Atticus Finch/Gregory Peck in that one.
Dear God, I'm a freak too, but this kind of robot, for science of course cause its always about the science, sounds like something I might want.
